Functionize MCP

Build, run and diagnose tests against your real app from Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot
The Functionize MCP server connects your coding agent to Functionize Studio. Ask for a test in plain language and the result comes back in the chat.

Why Studio

Studio adds what your coding agent cannot see: how the app behaves when it runs

Your coding agent knows what changed in the code. Studio knows your app's pages, flows and environments from running them, so it tests the change where it actually shows up.
coverage

Tests target the flows your change affects

The coding agent passes along the change and what it was meant to do. Studio maps it to the affected UI flows and runs those.
resilient

Tests keep running when the UI changes

When a button moves or a form gets a new field, Studio updates its model of the page. You do not rewrite selectors.
independent

A check independent of the agent that wrote the code

Tests a coding agent writes for its own change tend to pass. Studio is built for testing and checks your app against what the change was supposed to do.
efficient

Runs on small testing models, not your token budget

Studio uses models trained for testing, so building and running suites costs a fraction of the same work with a general-purpose model.

FAQ

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and GitHub Copilot in VS Code, plus any client that supports MCP.

Both. Ask for a full smoke or regression suite, or let your agent pass a change and Studio runs the affected flows.

The server has no access to your file system. It works from what your coding agent sends it and from your running app.

No. It builds, runs and diagnoses tests. The release call stays with your team.
