A credit is the unit that measures agent work. Studio subtracts every agent task from the same credit balance.
Work that you do yourself is free. You use no credits when you edit tests, read reports, connect integrations, export results, or change settings.
The cost changes with the task. A login check needs less agent work than a full checkout test on three browsers.
Studio shows your usage from the first run, so you can see your own numbers quickly.

Your credits reset at the start of each billing period. If you pay for a year, you receive all of the credits for the year at the start.

- Write specific instructions. The agent does more work if your instructions are not clear.
- Build your tests in a staging environment. Run tests in production only for the final check.
- Make a Component from a flow that you repeat, such as a login, then use that Component again.
- Use one data-driven test in place of twenty tests that are almost the same.
- Archive the tests that you no longer need. Scheduled runs continue to use credits for them.
